A premier institute – the IIT – groomed Gopinath Chandra Das into a technocrat. Perhaps he was then expected to dive into some sort of cutting-edge research. But providence edged him out of mainstream science, and he found himself digging into books of the ancient Indians, the Vedas.

So far he has spent 19 years in the monastery at Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Temple (ISKCON) situated in South Mumbai. As a Vedic Life Coach, he helps people improve the quality of their lives, and his background in science and technology helps him present the Vedas in a scientific light.

More recently, he has authored the self-help book "The Power of Karma Yoga" which is based on the teachings from the Bhagavad Gita.
